THE HIEROS GAMOS (“HOLY MARRIAGE”)

The descent of the psyche into a state of dichotomy (the tree of knowledge of good and evil) stems from a fall in the cosmic feminine principle of Sophia (divine wisdom). Analogous to the kundalini, she represents the feminine aspect of the Divine.
